Amazing Life CI#49

Colour INKspiration is a fortnightly blog initiated by Bronwyn Eastley in Tasmania. The design team is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project. Our inspiration colours this week are Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana, Pineapple Punch & Highland Heather.

I have to confess that originally I made this card using Pool Party instead of Coastal Cabana, but fortunately there was enough time to remake the card. The brighter colour really makes everything pop on this version too. I LOVE Coastal Cabana and was very pleased that it made a return to our colour range. This sentiment is great as it allows you to colour in 'happy' and stamp a second time on a colour to cut the banner as another highlight.

The sweet little flowers remind me a little of the pansies in my garden, and I do think they add a nice touch beside the sentiment. That sentiment is from a SALE-A-Bration stamp set, Part Of My Story. These are the ones you can pick, once your order reaches $90, and you pay nothing extra for it. Don't let SALE-A-Bration slip by without making at least one $90 order for a special stamp set, patterned paper or ribbon. I've included the Amazing Life stamp set, and these Rectangle Stitched dies in the supply list at the end, as I'd be surprised if they are not the hottest bundle in the Occasions catalogue. At $85.50, that's a 10% saving off both, you only need to add a pack of dimensionals and you qualify for a SALE-A-Bration pick.

This is another version I have made, same colours and still stamps from Amazing Life. These 2 cards are part of my 'Caring & Sharing' February class, and the Melon Mambo version is a little easier for those lacking the confidence to die cut the front of the card with the NEW Stitched Rectangles before adhering the white card behind. Check my Class Schedule here.

So the Melon Mambo card is a little bit beyond #simplestamping, perfect for the casual stampers who mostly come to my classes. I do have another class for those just embarking on their crafting journey, or maybe you'd like to give it a go on your own. Supplies for these projects are available in my online shop. If you need more information on what I used, please get in touch and I will let you know in detail.

Now you're heading to visit with the talented Tanya Bell, who has a delightful offering for you today.

  1. Both great cards to showcase that lovely stampset Rachel. I wish I had pansies in my garden, but most flowers are a little sad in this heat!! I hadn't thought of the technique with the banner on a solid colour- that's great

  2. Both cards show off this set well. It suits the bright, summery colours. I love the way you've used that scrollwork stamp to fill the corners of the card front.
