Enjoy Your Birthday (Ride)

Zingy colours and a cute sketch! That's a perfect recipe, to my way of thinking, anyway.

Earlier this week I had another order delivered from Stampin' Up!® and I have been dying to get my fingers inky. Colour Me! supplied the striking colour scheme, while Retro Sketches never let us down with their interesting sketches.

I wasn't too sure about Today & Everyday, so didn't order it straight away, but just take a look at all the gorgeousness made with this stamp set on Pinterest and you'll change your mind, just like I did.
It was a great chance to get Blendabilities out too, all three images in this stamp set are perfect for colouring. I began tentatively with the Coastal Cabana range, but soon became confident and used the Smokey Slate assortment for the tyres and seat.

I pulled out a banner stamp from Amazing Birthday, a Happy Birthday label from Tag Talk and stamped, before punching with the appropriate punch/framelit. There's a little Hello Honey banner between those two, it draws the eye and helps the greeting show up better. I tried a rhinestone in the headlight but it is more of an oval shape. Luckily I remembered that Dazzling Details gives a nice glimmer and gleam too! A slim outline of Coastal Cabana before mounting onto the Hello Honey base and it's all done and dusted.

Hope you are looking forward to some stamping fun too,
Rachel

  1. Wonderful combination of stamping, coloring, and die cutting (and would you believe that the autocorrect tried to make "dieting" out of "die cutting"? ).

Thank you for playing along with us at Colour Me…! this week!

  3. This is SO fun! I love the layering of the banner/sentiment and that fab image. I was wishy-washy about the set at first too, but I ended up getting and loving it ;) Thanks for sharing with us at Colour Me...! this week.
