Celebrating with Friendly Seagulls

When I look back over SALE-A-Bration and what it was that excited me most, I'd have to say Friendly Seagulls was top of my favourite stamp sets. I did add a couple of others to my orders, and I do really like them but this is the one I had the most fun with.

This also might be the most-fun card I made with the hand drawn lines to form a broken circle linking the different images. Choose Happy provided the sentiment and sun to help the 'story'.

Just a simple fun fold using the Timeless Plaid 6" X 6" paper and hopefully relevent to someone living on the Sunshine Coast.

All Zipped Up

Currently it is a pre-order period for Stampin' Up! demonstrators and I took the opportunity to order this new stamp/die bundle All Zipped Up. I'm always on the lookout for something new that suits boys.

I really like that there is a sentiment to use on the inside of the card as well.

The 'T-shirt' is a piece of Timeless Plaid DSP inserted inside the zippered jacket, with a piece of Crumb Cake behind that for 'skin'.

All Zipped Up stamps/dies bundle

This bundle will be available to order in Online Exclusives March 4th.

Colour Creations - Week #35 - Misty Moonlight

Happy New Year! Contributors to this blog hop are all members of Claire Daly's Art With Heart group. After a short Christmas break we are back creating with Misty Moonlight. It's a not-quite-navy, almost denim shade which is a pleasure to use since just like denim, it goes with anything.

With our mini catalogue ready to order from now, it's a great time to share some creations made with a new stamp set, One More Year and Timeless Plaid 6" X 6" DSP. Misty Moonlight seems to go well with the plaid pattern despite the colours not matching.

Definitely inspired by the catalogue sample, but with a few tweaks, it was a lot of fun making this card. I heat embossed the sentiment in black for a nice, clear image.

As soon as I saw this stamp, on the inside, I knew it would be perfect for my son's approaching 49th birthday.

Our next talented Art With Heart member is the lovely Kate Morgan

If at any time you find a broken link or would like to see a full list of participants, please head to the blog of our host of the AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop, Catherine Proctor.

Happy crafting,

CTC #501 CASE THE MINI CATALOGUE

CASE-ing The Catty Crew are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Australia & New Zealand who take inspiration weekly from the catalogues. The catalogues are a fantastic resource, and we love to inspire you to seek inspiration there too.

Here we are at the beginning of another year - Happy New Year! CASE-ing The Catty Crew are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Australia & New Zealand who take inspiration weekly from the catalogues. The catalogues are a fantastic resource, and we love to inspire you to seek inspiration there too.

Especially when there is a new product release, I will often CASE a card very closely because it gives my creative juices a kick start. I am planning on offering this card in pink or blue at a Card Buffet in February and so I made both samples.

One More Year is in the mini catalogue and has a number of fun images and sentiments for birthdays. My team and customers have a preference for birthday cards, so this stamp was a 'must-have'.

Using Timeless Plaid DSP, the same as was used for the catalogue sample but arranged slightly differently gives an interesting background for the stamped image.

Watercolor pencils and a blending pen were my choice for colouring these images both for a variety of techniques and to allow the requirements for each card to be supplied in a basket along with the packs.

A second line from the Happy Birthday greeting was trimmed away after stamping, and a different second sentiment was stamped inside along with a partial cake image.

Now it's your turn. We do request that the projects you submit have been created especially for this challenge. You can CASE directly or be inspired by a sketch/layout, colour combo or embellishment. Ask to join our Facebook group, and then add a picture of your CASE.

Next crew member to share is Rebecca Scurr

I hope you are inspired to create something using the mini catalogue.
