Under My Umbrella

Sometimes you just have to have a stamp because it's so cute, you love the sentiment or whatever, but sadly, sometimes after the initial excitement of getting them, you don't use them. I found it hard to believe that I'd done that with Under My Umbrella.

When I mentioned it to team members, I was challenged to ink it up last night, and I love a challenge! Had to finish colouring the umbrellas this morning and put the card together but what a fun stamp and punch. I shared a little tip or two on Facebook Live today, over on my business page.

Emma Goddard, The Coastal Stamper had shared a card with masked umbrellas, and you can see her's here, but mine has ended up totally different in the end.

Here is another card where I haven't needed the umbrella punch at all, and some of the flowers were fussy cut. My remote-learning class next month uses Paper Pumpkin Box of Sunshine, and it seems to me that Under My Umbrella is a great partner stamp for this one.

Week #14 AWH Colour Creations Showcase - Daffodil Delight

When you've finished looking at my Daffodil Delight cards, pop back to Catherine Proctor for more sunny goodness at another team members blog address.

Daffodil Delight came up at just the right time! I had just received my Box of Sunshine, which I'm loving to bits, and it triggered some thoughts of alternative cards I could make for my grandies, to keep in touch.

It's such a pleasure to get a card or picture in the mail from them, so I hope they love my efforts in return. Zany Zebras are  flamboyant little fellas that I'm sure they will brighten anyone's day.

The Playing With Patterns DSP adds lots of colour to the inside of the card.

All these sentiments, the lines and sun come from the Box of Sunshine, such a good selection. I used the smallest circle die to cut the centre from the sun to let the zebras peep through! Box of Sunshine can still be ordered using #155231

The peep-through card is my favourite, but it's hard to photograph!
I stamped the suns randomly, cut with the die, then placed the white card under and lightly penciled the circles so the heads would be in  position.
