Sketch #11 With The Great American Stamping Show

To help inspire my crafting I'm following along with the Great American Stampin' Show as they use the sketches from the catalogue as inspiration. I must say, I have found that it is really helping my creativity, which I'm sure is why the sketches were included on page 22 of the Stampin' Up! annual catalogue.

This week it is sketch #11 and as usual, you do not have to follow strictly to the same formula. Use the sketch to inspire, and don't forget to send the cards you create. Needing a masculine card this weekend I turned the sketch 90 degrees and stamped 'happy birthday' on one of the patterned papers.

Using a matt to contain the strips neatly, I have selected a monochromatic colour scheme (apart from the gold flame and embellishments).

A single candle was substituted for the sentiment strip.

The inside has been decorated in the same shades of blue.

I made a feminine version with the sketch in its original orientation.

It seems to me that this sketch is a great one for showing off our gorgeous Stampin' Up! designer series papers. Have you checked out what gorgeous ones are at bargain prices in the Clearance Rack?

SHOP:

Your orders are very much appreciated, no matter how small or big, every little bit helps me to meet my minimums and keep on creating. Hopefully you are inspired by some of the projects I share and want to make your own. My online shop is open anytime and delivery by tracked Australia Post takes 5-10 days.

I have been an active Stampin' Up! demonstrator for 14 years, and thanks to my wonderful team, I am at Silver Elite level. One of the joys of crafting is sharing it with others, so I hold monthly classes both in my home and in the community. Do get in touch if you have questions about classes or Stampin' Up! products.
