Great American Crafting Cruise Swaps

On 17th June Kathryn and I boarded Quantum of the Seas to join a total of 32 crafters, some with non-stamping friends in tow, but my hubby was happy to stay home for this one. Crafting with like-minded folk is just so much fun, and we were keen to participate in the fun of swapping cards too. You make a card for all participants including yourself, so 32 for this swap.

After you have decided on your design, the best way to tackle the task is to treat it as a production line.

Step 2: Cut the label from centre of matt.

Step 1: lay out 8 sheets of A4 Basic White and take to it with ink and brayer! I used all 5 In Colours for the background. I love the effect of the colours overlapping and used it in a card which I made earlier to introduce the In Colors. You can see it here.

Step 2: Night of Navy was used for the matt & label and I was economical and die cut the labels from the matt.

Step 3: cut, score & fold 32 card bases in Basic Beige.

Step 4: Brayer 'Hello' from the Thoughtful Moments folder & die cut. This required the cutting of strips of white card to fit.

Step 5: More die cutting, this time Petunia Pop or Pretty in Pink In Color Glimmer paper for another 'hello' using the Thoughtful Moments dies.

Step 6: Cut ribbon about the width of the palm of your hand (4-5"), trim the selvedges off, tie a knot in the middle and proceed to fray the ribbon to create a tassel.

Step 7: attach ribbon to bottom of label with a glue dot, add Dimensionals at each end of the label. Ribbon and glimmer paper are colour matched.

Step 8:  Layer 'hello' staggered slightly to show a shadow effect. Glue layer together then add to label. Place leaves partially under label, scatter flowers and rhinestones around.

Step 9: Mass producing card insides. Cut 8 sheets of Basic white into 32 pieces and stamp. To make this easier I mounted both stamps from Country Flowers onto the one block.

Every card was slightly different, and yet somewhat the same. Thanks for dropping by, I'd love to hear what you like (or don't like) about these cards.
Happy crafting.

Your orders are very much appreciated, no matter how small or big, every little bit helps me to meet my minimums, and keep on creating. Hopefully you are inspired by some of the projects I share and want to make your own. My online shop is open anytime and delivery by tracked Australia Post takes 5-10 days.
