Colour Creations - Week 8 - Bermuda Bay

The participants in Colour Creations are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. We love to Blog Hop sharing all the Stampin' Up! Colours. This is week eight of this round of Colour Creations Blog Hop, and this week is Bermuda Bay.

Again, Bermuda Bay is a favourite of mine, being blue-ish. For one of my stamp groups I had created a simpler card using this stamp and the DSP, so they were aware it was about to retire. You can make some lovely cards with one or two stamps and some lovely DSP.

This is my stepped-up version where I've used a number of the stamps, dies and layers. The dark layer is Evening Evergreen, which seems to go nicely with Bermuda Bay.

Bonus this week, a second card.

It was hard to resist making two cards this week, so I didn't!!! Blessings Of Home provided the lovely floral image and the sentiment, which was masked to remove 2 words which weren't needed.

The Split Card Textures dies are a stand alone pair of dies, they aren't bundled with a stamp set or anything, but they are too versatile to ignore. See them on page 174 of the Annual catalogue. This is the lacy version, the other is similar to straight lattice.

Let's hop across the border to visit with the amazing Andrea Sargent in South Australia

If at any time you find a broken link, please head to the blog of this week’s host of the AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop, Cathy Proctor, and she will have the list of all participants.

  1. I'm so glad that you did make 2 cards this week Rachel, as they are both beautiful. I can't stop looking at that gorgeous linen thread bow on your first card!

  2. I love how you used stamps, papers and dies on your first card, Rachel; really beautiful! Your second card showcases the Split Card Textures Die so well. Bermuda Bay and white makes for a lovely, crisp, colour combination.

Great cards Rachel. The first is my favourite, I love all of the layers you've used and Evening Evergreen looks lovely as one of the layers.

  9. Two great cards Rachel. I love how you have used the Split Card Textures dies. I have been tempted by them but have resisted until now. You may have just persuaded me.
