Colour Creations - Crushed Curry

Our feature colour this week is Crushed Curry, in the regals family. I'm sure there will be lots of inspiration shared on this blog hop, so make sure you spend the time checking them out. We are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart.

This colour is one of the more challenging ones, and I decided that a little could go a long way!

Night of Navy is a great contrast for any yellow so that became the base with a matt of Crushed Curry. Timeworn Type is a new 3D embossing folder in the July-December mini catalogue, part of the Harvest Meadow Suite. I inked up the folder by smearing the ink pad across, but the first card was too darkly coloured, so this is the 2nd pass through the machine.

After deciding on which label to stamp, I had to work out an arrangement of flowers to surround it. I do have a lot of Pierced Blooms already pre-cut, but invariably, need a different colour.

With the Basic Borders dies and a leftover piece of inked, embossed card, a fancy edge was cut and added inside.

Our next talented creator is the gorgeous Kate Morgan, who celebrated her birthday this week.
