Sailing Home CTC #251

Welcome back to another week of CASE-ing The Catty. The crew is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, create Craft By Post classes, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project. This week we are CASE-ing Brightly Gleaming DSP colours, using the layouts on page 30 for inspiration.

For the layout of my CASE, I used the top right card with its centred rectangular label, a sentiment stamped toward the left, and a pair of design elements on the right. The die cut yacht was going to be higher on the right but that made the perspective rather skewed.

An easy way to use the colours was to grab a piece of the DSP, and on the reverse of the navy and copper foil is this sedate stripe, quite perfect for a maritine scene.

This is actually the first time I have inked up this stamp, but with some signs that summer is coming in Melbourne, it may get a bit more use in coming months! There are dies for non-stamped images too, like the knotted rope, which do add extra texture.

There is always so much inspiration in these catalogues, I'm sure that is why CASE-ing the Catty is so successful! Now it's your turn to show what you can do with a little catalogue inspiration. Add your work at our Facebook challenge here.

Next participant in this Blog Hop is Sandra Collett, I wonder what she is sharing?
