Welcome back to another week of CASE-ing The Catty. The crew is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, create Craft By Post classes, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project. This week we are CASE-ing page 46 of the Holiday Catalogue.
The brown card with the pumpkin was my choice to CASE. There is so much inspiration on this page. Maybe you are beginning to think about crafting some gifts for your children's or grandchildren' teachers. My inspiration was the stamped background, a circle of DSP, an apple as the focal item and 'thanks' as the sentiment on a strip across the bottom of the apple.
Making this card was a great excercise for me, as layering to this extent would usually be overwhelming, but by CASE-ing The Catty, it's like following a recipe. Although I did give it quite some thought, I decided to skip the step where background leaves were added!!!
The Apple Builder Punch, which is bundled for a 15% discount with Harvest Hellos, makes it really easy to punch out the apples. Best advice to using these combinations is to stamp first, and if you are colouring, also do that before you turn your punch over to position the image perfectly for punching out.
I've been enjoying using the stamp and punch to put together cards for markets, I hope they sell well. Here is a simpler version, a CASE of a CASE if you like!
Just a few small changes, less layers, different colours, but it's an easier card to construct.
Which version do you prefer - green or red?
Looks like I'm the last design team member for this week so it's back to Julia at the beginning if you haven't seen all the designs.(There are 13 of us this time)

These cards are absolutely perfect for any teacher to say thanks for all the do. They both look great but I’d probably choose the green one as my favourite.
ReplyDeleteLove it! All the apple motifs are fabulous. And the colours are so much fun too!
ReplyDeleteWow, great cards, so perfect for teachers. Perfect timing for an end of year market too! I have to say I think I prefer the red card, the apple really pops. They are both fantastic though :)
ReplyDeleteTwo fabulous cards, Rachel. I particularly love the green one, the brightness of it is just so happy. I need to start on the end of year school gifts so I'll be CASEing this CASE of yours! Thank you for the inspiration.
