Piece Of Cake CTC#237

Welcome back to another week of CASE-ing The Catty. The crew is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project. We are going to CASE a layout on page 151 this week.

There are a few cards to choose from and it will definitely be interesting to see how each of the crew members interpret their projects. I CASE-d the lower, blue card.

I tried stamping in white craft ink, but felt that it was indistinct on the pink card, so changed to Flirty Flamingo ink. Since I am piecing a quilt this week, it was easy enough to also add the machine stitching, as a nod to the original.

You'll notice of course, that I have also used the double circle in the lower centre of the card, & a narrow banner carrying the sentiment.

It really is fairly easy to CASE a card, you don't need to use the same colours or stamp set, it's not a reproduction, we are copying and selectively editing.

Peta Stephens follows me this week, check out her project too.

  2. Beautiful colouring. The cake looks amazing. I’ve always been too nervous to stitch on cardstock. It looks great on your card so I might have to give it a go one day.
