Welcome back to another week of CASE-ing The Catty. Funnily enough, I turned to the back of the catalogue, and ended up admiring a card on page 156 using Crackle Paint and Bloom & Grow. I had been hoping my order with some metallic ink aboard would arrive before I needed to make the cards, but it didn't so I pulled the Copper Embossing powder out, to use along with versamark of course.

The design features which really caught my eye on the card I CASE-d were a large label in the centre, topped with three flowers, so that is what I've done also. The "power of three" with the three different trees from Perfectly Plaid, so easy to make a bunch of these with the punch to cut all styles of tree.

So many different styles of tree, you can vary them however you wish. "Merry Christmas" is a tried and true salutation, but just look at the matching sentiment for inside.

I love that! Maybe you don't feel as exhausted as I do at the end of the year, but I think most of us do, and there's a sentiment acknowledging it! When you stamp the full background stamp, that's Crackle Paint in case you're wondering, it makes more than a card front. That comes in so handy to finish off the inside of the card, as does a little extra stamping.

For the 3rd card I changed up the stamp set. Elfie was the first Christmas stamp to catch my eye in the Holiday catalogue, such a cute set, and designed in conjunction with one of the Stampin' Up!  million dollar sellers. Three parcels across the top of this one and an elf in a Christmas stocking. Another cheeky elf made it onto the inside of the card. I hope you've liked these cards, and feel inspired to make some yourself. The catalogue is a wonderful source of inspiration.

  5. I've not really paid much attention to the crackle stamp, but I have now! Your backgrounds are fabulous, especially heat embossed in metallics. Your cards are all fantastic, but I'm a sucker for Elfie :)

  6. Would never have thought to use the crackle paint for Christmas but it looks stunning with your choice of images. I too got lured by the elves so it has to be my favourite and the inside love you've given your cards finishes them off perfectly :)
