Rainbow Birthday CTS#94

I've made a simple little card today, using some favourite Stampin' Up!® stamps. This is so easy, it really could be a one-layer card. I cut a pennant-shape using a Banner Framelit, and a larger piece of white card. That was my template. I used a sponge and five different ink pads (you can see which colours at the end of the post) to ink up Handcarved, a large single stamp. The rainbow effect is so pretty, I wish I had cut a larger shape to show it off more.
First try I stamped the greeting with black ink, but I didn't like it, so next try I inked Sassy salutations with Melon Mambo Ink and that was much better (I think). CAS(E) This Sketch provided the inspiration with the sketch, this time the colours were my own decision!

I thought you might like to see the template after the two stampings. I'm sure that I can put that piece to good use too.

Have a happy rainbow day!

Rachel

PS: Check out here, how I took this card and "stepped it up".
