The participants in AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. We love to Blog Hop sharing all the Stampin' Up! Colours alphabetically. This is week #46 and Smoky Slate is our colour.
Smoky Slate features quite prominently in Abigail Rose DSP.
This co-ordinates with Cottage Rose, also in the Annual catalogue and still bundled at 10% saving if you were wanting the stamps & the dies. I felt it would be too predictable to use Cottage Rose this time, and I do like the flowers in Greatest Journey just as much.
A bonus card using Smoky Slate as the base and pieces from Timeless Greetings Kit (see online shop).
It's hard to believe that we have nearly reached the end of our colours, with only a few weeks to go until the new Annual catalogue is in our eager hands! I hope you check in next week to see what the team have made with So Saffron.
Next talented team member to share is Catherine Proctor so let's see how she has used Smoky Slate!
If at any time you find a broken link or would like to see a full list of participants, please head to the blog of our host of the AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop, Catherine Proctor.
Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent & Fresh Freesia are about to retire as In Colors.
I wonder what will replace them?

Wow, Rachel, not one but two cards this week - what a treat! I had totally overlooked the flowers in Greatest Journey, they are so beautiful with your colouring!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to use the flower stamp from the Greatest Journey stamp set, definitely adds to its versatility
ReplyDeleteSo love your Smoky Slate card with the Greatest Journey flowers. Great colouring, great layering, great card. Also love the second card too. xxx
ReplyDeleteHaha Rachel and no one did use Cottage Rose lol! great idea to feature the flower stamp from this set as it is often overlooked.
ReplyDeleteThose flowers look fantastic and what a great way to use them. I'm loving the square on the angle and great choice of background papers too!
ReplyDeleteI love this card, because I have really leaned into using Designer Series Paper on nearly every card I have made in recent times. Your choices are great - and the thought that went into the extra layer of slightly darker DSP - well done!
ReplyDeleteRachel, I love how you turned the stitched square on point. It's eye catching and a lovely way to show off those very pretty coloured flowers.
