Mad Monday

Before I went to bed last night I saw a the Paper Players challenge to use a feline on a card, and I awoke this morning to thoughts of it raining cats and dogs! It is definitely not raining here, so that's why it seemed such a mad thought.

Unfortunately I made my card before re-reading the criteria, and I used layers when they weren't requested, so I quickly simplified my card to create the card on the left. There is a mix of Under My Umbrella and Hey Girlfriend in both cards. It's lots of fun to mix old and new stamp sets don't you think?

I used post-it notes to mask off a portion on the left of the card front, to contain the stamping and colouring. I'd considered using ink and blending brushes, but didn't want the kitties to be Pool Party, so the Stampin' Blends were used to colour the background, and umbrella.

Exactly the same method was used here, only the umbrellas were the only masked item while I stamped the shower of pets. If you want to see Friendly Feline cards, check out The Paper Players Challenge on Facebook.

I think this is my favourite still, with the offset art panel, and the mix of critters. Do you have a preference?
