Welcome back to another week of CASE-ing The Catty. The crew is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project.
This week we are CASE-ing the SALE-A-Bration Catty again, you might notice that is happening every other week. The card I am CASE-ing has been done before but it's a great little sketch on page 7 of the SAB catty.
It's the peacock card in Lemon-Lime Twist with the medallion from Eastern Medallion Thinlet Dies and the full length strip running from top to bottom behind the medallion. Then because the reverse of the Petal Garden DSP is so pretty, I couldn't resist adding a strip of that across the card. It's okay to make these changes when you're CASE-ing as it makes your project more original.
Seeing the photo, I'm not so sure about the black die cut pieces, but they seem less obtrusive in real life.
The lovely sentiment is from a stamp set in the Annual Catalogue, Beautiful Bouquet. I bought this photo polymer set, purely for the sweet sentiments, but I do get a lot of use out of the flowers and dies also.
Next talented design team member to visit is Elizabeth Gross
Join us with your CASE of any project from the SAB catalogue, including the new leaflet if you've seen it.
Gorgeous card Rachel. Love this set and teaming it up with these dies is a great combination.
ReplyDeleteNice work Rachel, adding that strip of DSP works well as it really pulls the colours together
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Rachel and great CASE. I like the black die cuts, I think it draws your eyes in to the flowers.
ReplyDeleteThe eastern palace framelit is a wonderful frame for these gorgeous flowers.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card Rachel. I never realised how much that DSP matches this set! Thanks for the heads up :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Rachel, and I love that that paper matches so well. I live the black trellis piece as a background for the roses too, very effective.
