When You're Happy CTC #163 SAB

Welcome back to another week of CASE-ing The Catty. The crew is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project.

For this CASE I've headed to the back of the SALE-A-Brations Catalogue, where there is a card very similar to this one, but it has a black and white stripe which has been coloured. It would have been easy enough to have done that too, but I wanted a 'clean' version. You may have already seen Monique's version, or you can continue on around until you reach hers.

Happy Wishes is a HUGE stamp set, and needs a catalogue spend of $180 to earn it for free during SALE-A-Bration. It comprises two big showy feature words - Happy, Best - decorated with sweet flowers. They can be left plain too, but I coloured them this time. There are a multitude of words and phrases which go with the feature words. I find the dies in the Occasions Catalogue, Petals and More Thinlet Dies, which can be bundled with Petal Palette for a 10 % saving, are great to use with many other stamps too. These sprigs of leaves keep appearing on many of my cards and there is another few there which don't have stamps but provide interest to projects.

While I was creating, a coloured version seemed like a good idea too. I think I might even prefer this one in pinks and greens. At least I have two more cards for my birthday card stash.

Now, we want you to CASE the SAB catty and share here on our Facebook page. Don't forget to say which project you've CASE-d.

This is the design I CASE-d

Next on the hop you will find the talented Judy May. She always surprises me with her beautiful creations!

  7. Lovely cards, Rachel. I love the pop of pink in the first card - very elegant with the black and white DSP.
