Colour Creations - Week 23 - Flirty Flamingo

Flirty Flamingo isn't actually listed on the colours in Garden Walk DSP but Calypso Coral is. The Garden Walk DSP still seems to goes well with the Flirty Flamingo card. I really do like this pack of papers, such lovely colours, plus one for Christmas too.

This style of card was demonstrated by
suestampfield on Facebook recently, also using Garden Walk DSP but I haven't bothered with her measurements, just the construction so my card does not look so much like hers.

The card is made by cutting a base measuring 10.5cm by 14.5cm and then add another piece 21cm by whatever you choose in width. Score at 10.5cm and glue the back of this piece to the other base, in the position you choose.

The designer series paper, Garden Walk was cut to size allowing for mounting on Basic White card mats. A single flower from Modern Garden was stamped inside.

I couldn't resist using Heartfelt Hexagons and the matching punch on this card. They are going to be one of the featured stamps this Saturday in the free Stampin' Up! event for everyone interested in card making. Have you registered or will you just tune in?

Next team member this week is the wonderful Christine Blain. You are heading over to see some more Heartfelt Hexagon inspiration.

  1. So great to see the Heartfelt Hexagons bundle in use, Rachel. When i saw you'd used that DSP I had a little moment, thinking I'd left it off the list of FF products, but I was relieved to see it was Calypso Coral. It looks so good with FF.

  2. Oh, beautifully inspired choice of papers, Rachel. I didn't even think to use these gorgeous patterns, but you're right, they go so well with Flirty Flamingo. I love the fold you've created, and all the super-pretty elements used.

  3. Oh Rachel - your card is simply gorgeous. I love your fun fold. I have missed seeing Sue demonstrate this fold, but I don’t need to check it out as it wouldn’t top your version. I love the sentiment and your use of the new bundle. Beautiful xxx
