Yellow Flowers for a Happy Birthday

I was asked today, "What have you been doing lately?" and I didn't really have any smart answer for my friend, except that I am just enjoying being happy. It is kinda funny when you feel this content with your lot in life for no particular reason! I suspect it is something to do with the sun showing its face more frequently, but I'm enjoying my work at school, the family are beautiful and we are all relatively healthy.I suspect it is spilling over into my creativity too, as I am using yellow a lot lately.

I have so much to be thankful for.

I've been out and about running messages, and having my weekly swim today, but tonight I have disappeared into my craft room to make this bright, breezy, yellow birthday card using the long-neglected Flower Shop and Petite Petals. I love the matching punches, and I'm so glad I went to the trouble of positioning them correctly when I bought Flower Shop and the Pansy Punch. I have a small 'T' inked at the top of each flower block, to help out further. I wasn't sure how I would arrange this mass of flowers or which greeting would suit, but eventually chose Tag Talk and the matching Label Bracket Punch, so this truly relied very heavily on punches today.

The patterned paper I chose is retired, Eastern Elegance DSP. I haven't ordered much current DSP yet.  I was hoping Stampin' Up!® would offer us the special they offered the North American market recently, but it is beginning to look like we won't have it. In the meantime, it forces me to reduce my stockpile of DSP, not a bad thing.

The Paper Players Challenge is a Tic-Tac-Toe, always lots of fun! I chose the left column: Birthday, Yellow, Patterned Paper.
Too easy!

Shimmery White was the card I used for the base, flowers and label. It gives a lovely shimmer and has more 'body' than Whisper White. You can just see the flowers stamped inside too.
Have a great day!
Rachel
