Colour Creations Blog Hop - Week 4 - Shy Shamrock

Contributors to this blog hop are all members of Claire Daly's Art With Heart group. We love chatting & crafting together. If this sounds like something you would enjoy, why not join us? At the end of this blog is a great Stampin' Up! joining offer.

Week 4 is Shy Shamrock's turn to shine and it definitely does. A lovely shade to add to the range with Card, ink, markers, blends, ribbon and DSP available.

Card 1:
For those who have a pack of the 6" X 6" In Color paper (free with the joining offer) you may be wondering about ways to use it so here is a simple idea.

Using this sketch from page 22 of the Annual catalogue and just one sheet of paper to cut the central panel and the larger one, matt both in white and place on a card base.

The Shy Shamrock really is perfect, although I'm sure that any of the lovely In Colors would be stunning! I had a few die cut pieces from Country Flowers to add, plus a sentiment from Flower Cart.

Card 2:

I settled for what I think is a simple design using Flower Cart. A mix of stamping and die cutting were used.

The cart and wheels were die cut, the flowers were inked using markers, while the leaves were stamped and the image die cut. The canopy was also stamped & die cut.

Now we are off to see what the talented Theresa Gerrard has shared this week.

If at any time you find a broken link or would like to see a full list of participants, please head to the blog of our host of the AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop, Catherine Proctor.

  1. Beautiful use of DSP in your monochrome card Rachel and I also love your colouring in flower market card as well.

A couple of great cards Rachel to feature Shy Shamrock. Using the layout ideas from the catalogue is a great idea.

  4. Both wonderful cards, Rachel. The first one with different sides of the DSP and on white matt layers with a simple sentiment and few embellishments is a great. Your flower cart is cute too!

  5. Two lovely cards Rachel. I love both but I am particularly attracted to your beautiful flower cart. This is not a stamp set I have looked at until now. Like you I am finding the new In Color DSP so easy to work with. I have been using it on everything.

  6. Such pretty cards to showcase Shy Shamrock, Rachel. I love your economical use of the gorgeous DSP on your first card - and the white layers and flowers set off the bright green beautifully. Your Flower cart card is really lovely.
