Colour Creations Blog Hop - Week 3 - Pretty in Pink

Contributors to this blog hop are all members of Claire Daly's Art With Heart group. We love chatting & crafting together.

This is week 3 and we are highlighting all the charm of Pretty in Pink. If you have used Stampin' Up! products for a while, this name/colour may be familiar. It was a popular pink when I joined 13.5 years ago, but when we had the 2nd-last colour refresh it was dropped.

I'm very pleased to see it back as it is a real "girlie pink"- can I say that? I went all-out, using all 4 sides of the In Color DSP for the back ground. It's not too much is it?

Attention Shoppers is one of my top three favourites in stamp sets, it is so fun and you can mix & match to suit the recipient. A little paper-piecing created a matching shopping bag, rosè is the wine of choice and the flowers are in shades of pink & Lemon Lolly.

Petal Pink was also included to add a little variation to the colour scheme. It was useful when I wanted to stick to shades of pink for the cake inside the card.

Sweetly Scripted, especially the birthday greeting is a lovely one to stamp across the page, and I couldn't resist colouring the loops on a fun card like this.

Now we are off to see what the talented Kathryn Ruddick has shared this week.

If at any time you find a broken link or would like to see a full list of participants, please head to the blog of our host of the AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop, Catherine Proctor.

Happy crafting,

What a great idea to feature all of the sides of the patterned papers Rachel. I love all of the elements of Attention Shoppers that you have used and the inside greeting is a great addition.

  4. This is gorgeous, Rachel. Love the strips of DSP in the background, a great way to show each of the designs. The images and sentiments are brilliant and the way you added the sentiment on the angle inside, is very cool!
